Size
Did you know we do much more than standard single and double carport sizes? We have a few options you can choose from when deciding your carport or shelter. We have a Gable or Skillion roof and different posts have different size options.
For a Gable carport with four posts (legs), you can choose any size up to 12m span (width) and 7.5m length. A multi bay gable carport (one with multiple posts) can be up to 12m span and 30m long.
For a Skillion roof carport with four posts you can choose any size up to 9m span (width) and 12m long. For a multi bay carport (more than 4 posts) you can have up to 9m span and 30m length.

They are also referred to as a mono-pitch.
GABLE ROOFS
Are the more traditional roof you see on houses or sheds.
A gable roof is when two sloping sides come together at a ridge,
effectively creating a triangular extension at the top.
Custom roof pitch options up to 45-degrees available (subject to engineering).

- What is the difference between a Gable and Skillion carport?
Skillion (or Flat) Carport Kit The Skillion Carport, also known as monoslope or single-slope carport. With a roof that slopes in just one direction. A skillion can stand alone or be attached to the side of a house. Perfect for those who are after a contemporary touch and a unique vibe.
Gable Carport Kit Picture a roof with two sloping sides, forming triangles at each end. It's a timeless design you'd spot in traditional houses and buildings.
- Do I need council approval for a carport?
Council regulations vary significantly depending on the state and local council. However, there's no need to worry—we’re here to help! To ensure your project complies with the necessary requirements, we recommend checking your state government's website. Alternatively, you can contact your local Totalspan team, and they will guide you through the process.
